Workforce Development Programs

WEDnetPA – Workforce & Economic Development Network of PA – is the primary delivery system for Pennsylvania’s incumbent workforce training. There is now only one single funding source, “Job Skills Training” requiring just one application, one training plan and one contract.  A company can apply for up to $100,000 and a $2,000 per employee maximum award. Eligible training must be skill-building for a current job, advancement or promotion in areas such as workplace behaviors, health and safety, business operations, machine operations and maintenance, and many more!

Training Grants

  2. Customized Job Training: Training tailored specifically to meet the needs of employers for a specified job category.
  3. Staff Development/Supervisory Training: Training is available for supervisors at no cost to the employer. Programs are tailored to each employer’s assessment of supervisory needs. The training is geared to improving employee retention through skilled management practices.
